We hate them as much as you do! Czechs hate taxi drivers as much as they despise the police.

If you feel that taxi driver will rip you off purposely make a show of writing down taxi registration no. for example to your mobile - you’re a lot less likely to be ripped off.

Excessively priced services by some taxi-service drivers occur in particular in the locations Wilsonovo Railway Station, Václavské Square, Národní Street, Railway Station Prague-Holesovice, Ruzyne Airport. Staromestské Square, Hradcanské Square, Republiky Square and Karlova Street. Passengers should pay special attention to these localities.
